Betty White, Make-up, and Curvy Girlies!

30 Jun

Dear Cosmic Universe,

I have two words for you- Betty White. I recently stumbled upon an amazing little show, Hot In Cleveland- and I must say it is hysterical. Betty White is 89 years old, but is just as feisty as some twenty-four year old’s I know!

Last night’s episode was all about the four characters going on blind dates, changing who they were in some cases, pretending to be someone they were not just to impress some guy. How often do we “fake it” to “make it”? Why do we feel as if we are never good enough?

We do not have to long blonde hair or be supermodel skinny, or have long tan legs to be somebody’s type of perfect. I read recently in a magazine (Mr. A actually found the article =] ) that spoke about what guys are really attracted to- a real girl. Honest to gosh, no make-up on, curvy girly. Make’s you feel better doesn’t it?

Well! After reading that article with my morning coffee, and seeing that episode last night- I decided to embrace my inner curvy girly and just truly be myself. No make-up, no heals today, just let my inner beauty shine! Sort of like that episode of Franklin & Bash– were a girl is fired for being “too beautiful”. Everyone that met this young girl fell in love with her, not for her looks…but for her heart. Imagine if we embraced that side of ourselves? I think our world may be a little brighter!

Just something to ponder,
